Science in Veda

The Rigveda consists of about 1,028 riches or hymns in praise of various Vedic gods—Indra, Agni, Soma and Surya among others. Ancient Vedic Life Science was called “AYUR VEDA”, the word “Āyurveda”, is derived from the term 'AYUH' meaning life and 'VEDA' meaning to Knowledge. Thus Ayurveda is the science of knowing the means through which life can be protracted.
